DESCRIPTION:
Unlike her sister, Pulean kept her hair long and flowing all the way down to her butt.  It's often put up into a sort of bun, but she does randomly leave it long.  Sometimes its a blend of the two of them since she can get away with it due to its length.  She also stands at 5'6", but with striking blue eyes.  When she fights demons or some other idiot, they seem to have a faint blue glow to them.  Perhaps its due to lineage, or maybe its some trick of the light.  Either way, its a random interesting fact.  Like her sister, she has a tattoo as well, however, it is a blue rose on the back of her left shoulder.  

Her build is very similar to her sisters with lean muscle and powerful legs with soft skin.  She likes to tease Jinhong that she has slightly more curves than her, but in reality they are both as curvy as the other.  It isn't like anyones going to complain about curves from an asian woman!  If someone makes a point about it, she'll flash them a smile with those full lips of hers, giggling as she shrugs her shoulders before turning away from them.  

When on Earth, she follows her sisters practicality factor (for being able to move and be comfortable is extremely important), however she cares more about the fashion of it.  She likes her dresses, low heeled boots and shoes, skirts, feminine outfits.  More often than not, she has outfits with pieces akin to fashion in previous eras for some were just so very tasteful!  

When in Inferis, she also sports identical garb to her twin.  Combat gear, boots, the whole shebang.  It's just all a bit more streamlined to allow for quick movements.  Her clothes have more compartments, however, to hide things away in like first aid or some such.  The amount of pockets makes up for the fact that she has a simple belt with maybe one light pouch on it so that her speed doesn't suffer for it.  She will sport a blue scarf with a blue rose pinned into her hair.

Pulean is the other half to the whole, and would also be lost without Jinhong.  She is the child, the extrovert, the life of the party.  She loves to talk to people, to hear their stories, and to get to know them.  She loves to smile with them and laugh, to feel the camaraderie between folk.  She loves to share her singing and to dance with people, to share in this living world of ours!  She would try to bring more people to a party on the beach with her sister to be silly and have fun.  

It's harder to rein her in from her flittering about than Jinhong, and yet at the same time she is always aware of almost everything.  She may be all smiles and chattiness, but she is taking mental notes.  She is the psychological and philosophical of the twins, less on the harder sciences like her sister.  When the going gets tough, she may be perfectly pleasant on the outside, but it is a front as she calculates how best to try and tear you down within your mind.  If its a fight, she defers to her sister whom is the strategist.  She likes to hang back and use distractions to make quick, precise strikes, then get out as fast as possible.  While her sister revels in her blood, berserker rage, Pulean is applying band-aids and attempting to get the blood from her clothes.  It's a bugger it is.  Her temper is more subtle, maybe a twitch of the mouth or a glint in her eye.  Her sister might cut them down with her sword, but she will cut them down with their own emotions and mind.  You should still head for the hills if you've pissed these two off.  

But enough of that.  When she doesn't have to deal with that "job," Pulean can be found singing.  At a nightclub, quiet cafe, or maybe on stage.  She likes to bring people happiness with her song, to tell them stories and tug at their heart strings.  To let them forget about the bad for a while.  In a sense, this is how she wants to help people.  She may also be found looking for fresh supplies for their first aid kits (yes plural) since Jinhong has a habit of getting herself injured, silly thing.  

While her sister strategizes and plans, Pulean is looking up the next target, the next job.  She is more of The Face out of the two of them, and is always watching their back for anyone.  Especially Templars.  While Jinhong is careful and aware, she doesn't seem to have too much of an issue with the Templars.  Pulean does not share this opinion.  She is wary of them and tries to ensure that they will not find them, and if they do, that they don't realize what they are.  

A rather interesting discovery was made while she was conversing with Arthur Poe.  While her sister is very astute and calculating, her sister is equally so with people.  It is enough to put her on par with Sherlock Holmes as it were.  It is a side of her that does not come out very often, and often it is extremely subtle.  She chooses to not always pay attention to it because usually it can offer more problems than solutions, and who needs more things to worry about? It would give one a headache really.

HISTORY:
Two babies wriggled together in the arms of the nurse and doctor that held them in the hospital, their mother still sweaty and panting on the bed as they cleaned her.  A father stands at her side, holding her hand while watching the doctor and nurse take the girls away to be cleaned and tested.  They come back a few moments later with the two babes wrapped up in blankets, both of them opening their eyes as they are placed in their parents arms.  One has brilliant red eyes, and the other a soft sapphire.  A third nurse comes up to the parents with a clipboard to ask, "What are the names?"  

The two parents look at each other, the mother with a tired but happy smile, and the father overjoyed.  "Pulean and Jinhong."

That was the day that they were born with only seconds separating their stepping into the world.  They were raised together, they played together, they learned together.  There was no separating them ever.  At school they were identical with the same clothes, same hairstyle, same voices.  The only difference was their eyes.  One red, the other blue.  Some asked them why that was, and the pair only looked at each other before giggling and looking back at the questioner, "Makes it easy to tell us apart!" They answer at the same time.  

There was no need to tell anyone else about their heritage, or how else they were different.  If someone got to know them well enough, it was obvious what the differences were.  Pulean was always greeting people, singing with chorale and performing on the theaters stage.  She also liked to dance, but she figure skated instead.  But neither twin hated the fact that one was better at something than the other.  They complimented each other, and they had each other.  What else mattered?  

When they both turned sixteen, their powers manifested themselves.  They had been out with their parents, talking about… family history to make a long story short.  Their parents knew that their powers would appear soon, they just had no idea that they would show themselves in the middle of their discussion!  For a few days, they had traveled to Washington, D.C. to see the sights and museums.  They were strolling along, their mother explaining about how they each had their own abilities when Pulean suddenly startled at the fact she could see the individual blades of grass swaying in the wind as she stared at the ground.  Apparently Jinhong had heard her surprise in her mind, which left their parents in disbelief.  They had completely forgotten that there was a tear so close by.  

From that moment on, they immediately enrolled their daughters in whatever fighting style and/or weapon they wanted.  Pulean chose a rapier for the ability of precision given the display of her power near that tear.  It seemed logical.  She also chose to study Tai Chi to both help with her inner chi as well as speed.  Their parents began to teach them more and more about what they knew of Demon Hunting, admitting about what they would go out and do on occasion (why they had come late, etc).  Jinhong had seemed a little surprised, but Pulean had noticed that something was off.  She merely had the proper explanation for it now.  

It was when they were twenty-one that a very dark day came.  They had traveled with their father on one of his business trips to DC when they encountered the tear again.  And they weren't alone this time.  Pulean was startled by the Ritualists, especially the possessed one.  They didn't.. make.. sense…. At all.  Their parents were the ones that leaped into action, and the sisters were quick to follow through the tear.  It… didn't go well.  They were successful, but at a price.  That was when Pulean found out just how fast she could be, how strong her voice really was, and loss.  They had to drag their parents out and get them to the hospital as fast as possible.  

Their father died in the ICU.  

Their mother, on the other hand, was stabilized but remains in a coma.  Jinhong almost lost herself to hatred and grief, and it was probably because of this that Pulean pulled herself together faster in order to talk sense into her beloved twin.  They couldn't fall to revenge, they would get themselves killed quickly.  If they were to do their parents right, they had to be able to survive on Earth and in Inferis.  That seemed to help, and refocused her twin much to her relief and delight.  So Jinhong finished college, and Pulean began to take bigger singing gigs to help pay the bills.  She actually gained some fame for it.  Her professors were a bit disappointed that she dropped out with only a year left, but they knew that the loss of ones parents so suddenly was no easy task to overcome.  The twins are still recovering.  At the same time, they were pleased to see her succeeding on the stage with her acting and singing.  

It is now February, and the twins have moved to DC for convenience purposes.  First, both of them have had important interactions there that have now changed the course of their lives.  And... well... why not?  But we are getting ahead of ourselves.  Pulean's tour is still occurring, though it should be finishing up within the next week or so in DC, and she doesn't have any plans of continuing for a little while.  She's due for her break between tours, and that is precisely what she plans on doing, taking a small break.  Also, she needs to learn more music and see what offers will be given to her by various folks.  What she found interesting on tour was when her sister came to their hotel one day and told her about this boy that she had met, Lazarus Carter.  She was rather surprised to hear those words come out of her mouth, also because she was so late coming back with their coffee.  It turns out that this man needed help with a job in Inferis and had asked Jinhong to aid.  Of course Pulean also agreed to help when her twin asked her.  Why wouldn't she?  They were a cohesive pair.  You couldn't really have one without the other.  Then they ended up happening across a shop with a demonology book in the window that immediately caught her sisters eye.  Pulean tried to stop her from going inside, but Jinhong had already gone and so she instead had to resist the urge to facepalm once her sister finally looked up.  The poor dear turned such a shade of red. Though that was how the twins met Jerome.  They also recruited him to help them on their endeavor in Inferis, and found another demon hunter to add to their potential co-workers so to speak.

It was actually after this meeting with Jerome, that she ended up meeting Arthur S. Poe.  He was a very Sherlockian sort of fellow, very analytical, and scary bright.  She had heard rumors and noticed signs pointing towards the possibility of him being a demon hunter, and she was curious.  She paid him a visit after her performance to speak with him on the matter.  She was not disappointed.  And.... she found herself rather attracted to him from that first meeting.  Charmed even, but it was still just that.  A first meeting.  There couldn't possibly be more than that after just one, single conversation, could there?  

Then the day came when the hunt was to commence.  Her sister was a bit on edge because she wasn't able to prepare as well as she had wanted to, but the two of them were completely in demon hunting mode.  They were ready.  What worried her, was how she noticed the demeanor change that came over Jerome now that they were in Inferis.  What with how demon-like he was, she knew he might trigger her twins bloodlust.  They snuck through the Entropic Chasm to the den of Aviaxes that lay within.  In the first few moments, she had to cover and heal Lazarus, soon using an improvised steel rod in order to defend herself with.  She hadn't brought her rapier with her which was rather foolish of herself, she admits.  Soon enough she had to run to Yuuko's side who took a rather bad hit, using her skill to heal her as best as she could while keeping an eye on Jinhong.  She was proved right when Jinhong almost cut Jerome down.  Hoisting Yuuko up, she helped her head inside after the others, taking the rear since, well, yeah.  Injured. They went inside to take care of the rest, only to find that a band of soldiers was already there taking them down.  Pulean watched with growing discomfort as they aided the men that she immediately knew to be Templars.  So when the man leading the soldiers turned and began to talk pleasantly with Lazarus, Pulean wanted to stop him.  To warn him, but it was already too late.

Sure enough, they were then told to surrender or be captured, and of course they resisted.  The leader, Reverend Smith, approached her with Yuuko and offered to help her, but of course Pulean refused.  And she wasn't the most polite about her refusal considering who it came from.  Never, EVER trust a Templar.  She immediately bolted with Yuuko in her arms, accessing her Inferis abilities in order to push herself faster to get away.  What she found out afterwards was that Jerome didn't make it out with them, and she could see how it troubled her sister so.  But now it is February, and the twins live in DC in a quaint little apartment.  They have just received word that a member of their extended family is in the area, and is planning on meeting them...  *To be Continued....*

Almost always works with her twin, Jinhong (The Red Rose), though the pair has been known to work with others on occasion.  Only if asked, however.  They are wary of spontaneous ones unless the situation demands it.
