OVERVIEW:
♦ At its most basic level, Noel's Amalgam is simply telepathic eavesdropping. Where your average Ritualist is able to hear the silent voice of only their own bonded Demon, Noel hears the voices of everyone's. Without any conscious decision on his part, the soundless words of any bonded Demon around him slip into his mind as if they were Lune's, along with those of their Ritualists. This, generally, is a reliable method of learning who around Noel shares his particular Demonic affliction, and how he tends to avoid contact with other Ritualists so fully. The whole thing can at times become a bit more of a nuisance than any help, though, as around especially chatty pairs Noel might become distracted, typically resulting in an apparent lapse in brainwaves on Noel's end. Luckily, the skill is only effective within a radius of about fifty feet.

Considering Noel's Amalgam is a passive ability and not something he has to consciously activate, the sigil associated with it is ever-present on the outside of his left wrist. A delicate, almost floral mark that scrolls elegantly upward from his hand, he first noticed it by chance when in front of a mirror weeks after bonding with Lune. The appearance of the sigil is somewhat strange, appearing to be a flat black in the daylight but emitting a faint silver glow in the dark—something that Noel covers whenever possible, whether with a sleeve, wristband or even a bandage if he must.
