DESCRIPTION:
Tanaka Jin's appearance is for a better word, very very strict to the old Imperial Japanese soldier's attire that he wears, with his rank as a 2nd Lieutenant and his uniform all well in place. With a cap, a set of boots that a normal soldier does not wear, field cap, among other wardrobe effects otherwise sets him as undoubtedly to those that experienced WW2, an Imperial Japanese. He has a beard on his face, modest as it may be, wrinkles underneath his eyes, and an appearance that doesn't set him past his late 30's or early 40's. He tends to wear a set of gloves. His body has musculature that is quite toned and athletic, made for rigors of combat whilst combining muscle, power, speed and stamina, given as a soldier, he is expected to have all these qualities. Not to mention his fingers are calloused, showing he is no stranger to being rough with his hands. In Infernis, his uniform remains the same, in fact, he does not change at all when he appears there.

The time where he actually doesn't wear his uniform, is to wear a white kimono and dark blue hakama, along with some tabi socks, and sandals.

PERSONALITY:
Tanaka Jin is a man whose loyalty to the Emperor is only second to his loyalty to God. He is a fanatical Imperial Japanese soldier that fought against the Chinese dogs, the Soviets, the Germans, and the Americans. Having found little to no patience for screwing around as a man who is rigid and very stern in his demeanor. Analaytical if left unclouded by his otherwise austere and very zealous view point that is Puritanical. His intelligence is unquestioned no doubt, as well as his willingness to cross any lines to get the job done. He is a man out of time, fueled by his hatred for the enemy. It really doesn't matter who is the enemy, he has an honor to abide to, aand by honor he will stick to with sheer resolve. It is brow beaten into his character from an early age to compose himself without restraint, and certainly fight to the end regardless. In social dealings, he is a dry and dour man.

Though it is not to say he is unskilled in the manner of being talkative, as much as he hates doing this, his discipline also makes it so he surpasses what hatred he has to as the situations most of the times demands it. Coming across as being able to put up a facade, but underneath him, if one can read emotions, would be pure hatred for the enemy if he has to mingle with them. IF. If he had a choice between slicing them up, or getting information, and going upon his judgement in which would better serve what vestigial and defunct Empire he serves, he would opt for the latter. Circumstances aside, as a man out of time, his loyalty to Imperial Japan is mostly merited towards Emperor Hirohito, still serving that Japan, never acknowledging the new Japan. He cannot acknowledge it. He must not acknowledge it. The Japan that is whitewashed by the Americans, turned into their pet, turned into a toothless rabbit instead of the ferocious lion they once were. He cannot stand that idea, but he has higher causes to serve now, and that being to God first. Not that he still has subsided in his zealotry towards the material realm.

HISTORY:
It was darkness. Then life. He didn't know why he was here, why he came about, or why he had to go about, but whatever the case, Jin was suddenly thrust into a bulkhead far ahead circular in shape and surrounded by a free for all clusterfuck. Nobody told him this shit was going to happen, but Jin knew he was aiming for the prize as he had to outrun many of those that were heading for the same targets at Mach 99. The speed of which from the vast beyond distance nonetheless was offset by tensions, he saw many swerve and die, explosions occur of white, and tangling of the rudders those that went for the target had had. But in the end, his FEROCITY, and DETERMINATION, had made him prevail. It was a long and arduous ordeal, that he had overcome as he has succeeded among the MILLIONS that have died. And not one person weeped for them, silently the victor that was Tanaka Jin inserted into the target as he has begun to fertilize over time and incubate. Sperm and egg combine as alleoles and growth occurred... his memories became darker and he would lose what tragedy that weighed on him into the annals of history, recessed back into his memory and forever gone there.

Tanaka was born in Osaka, to a Christian Judo martial artist, and an emotionally challenged woman who seems to be stupidly nagging ALWAYS. When he was first born, she nagged at him by ranting how she wanted a more darker toned boy instead of someone as pale assed as him. Then Jin got his ass spanked by this perverted doctor for some weird ass reason. He vowed revenge on that fucker, but then forgot about it anyways. He writhed in sheer hatred and anger for all life, only to later in his upbringing be soothed by the nationalistic love for the Emperor, and furthermore, even more love for God. He was schooled in the ways of theology, brought about these matters and even had attended the place of worship. But these days ended when he had to take up education, and later, elevated his status into taking a career as military intelligence, as a commando, despite what one year earlier was spent as a fisherman. It was only later that had occurred though when he professed an interest in it. It was earlier that he was in fact but a marine, a part of the naval crew, as he participated as part of the Naval Landing Forces in the Siege of Tsingtao. His cool head under fire, and intuition in battle has served him well, where his commanding officer subsequently had him promoted to Sergeant, and recommended him for intelligence field work due to his independent nature, striking far behind enemy lines. He took upon education from the Nakano school for being a commando, and trained there further to refine his skills.

His tour of duty occurred in China, first against the Chinese, and later on against the Soviets. Committing towards assassinations and attacks deep behind enemy lines, against the Atheistic bastards that were Communists, godless and without a regard for their own human lives, a truly bleak existence best put to summary execution. Having slain them and accomplishing his objectives, but it did not adversely effect the overall success of the theater of war.

Later he relocated into Southern China where he served to fight against the armies of warlords that were about in abundance, and even WAY LATER, to Hong Kong during that invasion. But during the invasion of Hong Kong, some VERY RETARDED thing happened. Coming across a few men whom were British in appearance, and very very strange in what they were doing, Tanaka Jin, then a 2nd Lieutenant by that time, had no manner to convey their surrender in the English tongue. The Tommies being the British opened fire on the Japanese and tried to activate the device ASAP, whereas the Japanese squad opened fire back, in the firefight that took place, Jin flanked those men whilst his squad had mowed down a score of theirs, and with his Shin Gunto drawn at hand, charged at the officer at the time of the machine's activation alongside a few of his own men whom accompanied him.

What had occurred was a MASSIVE aneurysm thanks to the fucking retarded 1940's technology that were not exactly as modern OR advanced as Templar technology in 2012. Tanaka Jin, his attendants, and what few British men in typical British army attire with some crucifix rendered unto their clothing for some reason were now in a Hellish realm filled with tarpits, and some strange monstrosities they could never have fathomed. The place vaguely looked like Hong Kong, but that did not deter Tanaka and his men to slay the British, and slay they have, and yet they were truly alone in this place now the only people that could explain it were gone. But honor compelled Tanaka to slay them anyways, it was not likely in his reasoning they would divulge information, that, and he did not speak English. There was little time to dwell upon loose ends like them in an inhospitable place.

They felt much more invigorated, and less tired in Inferis, surrounded by tar and your occasional stretch of land. Strange creatures emerged, that the men had affixed bayonets to their rifles, and began opening fire. Picking up pace and being on the move as they found themselves overwhelmed had they stayed in one location for too long. It was a tiring trek, but Tanaka had his men perform forced marches. This was the reality they endured as they were never meant to be there in the first place. The men were whittled down one by one to the infernal enemies, and yet no matter how much they have come to slay, what shots they have planted, these demons have come to still emerge. Tanaka recognized it, as a devout Catholic, that they were in fact in Hell. But he kept his uncompromising stance as he has just decided Hell is as good an enemy to Japan as much as it was to Heaven itself. So it didn't really matter, he had a duty to do. It's a shame his men, being some of them Korean conscripts, did not share his enthusiasm to the fight, and some broke down sobbing. They died from morale problems, as much as firefights.

Years passed on that he drifted from the Tarpit Enclave all the way to the Regal Necropolis, where his irritation did him credit as he slaughtered the many British-like denizens of the locality. Having grown even more hateful of the fact it mimicked London, thinking it truly Hell to appear like the Tommies he fought in Hong Kong, those same men that consigned him to his fate. It was about half a century at least and a decade that he fought, with years added in, till he was actually noticed by the Templar orders as the lone human that were fighting against the demonic horde alone as a guerilla. His vigor was still a lot, that he has not aged much given it is Inferis, and the laws there that govern man are not the same as Earth. In fact, it depends on each individuals. Tanaka Jin was a holdout, never having known the war to have ended, or for the fact WW2 even ended. Instead, he just kept fighting with the dim hopes that he may come to emerge into Japan one day to see it victorious over the allies. Anyways, as it goes, during his battle in the Regal Necropolis, he came across humans for the first time. Not the screwed up ones that were demons, but in fact actual humans with weird looking junk, and the same cross he saw on those British uniforms, that he reasoned were in fact Christians like himself. The Templars themselves were not sure if Tanaka was a Demon Hunter, as he was using normal weapons, but some of them recognized his well tended Imperial Japanese uniform. They were quite surprised someone from the World War eras was in fact fighting, or more of a matter of fact, a Japanese holdout actually EXISTED in Inferis, it was just ridiculous. So as it goes, the one fluent in Japanese approached Tanaka Jin, and was in fact cut down by the Shin Gunto had he not explained in his native tongue he is a Japanese like him. Lowering his weapon, he exchanged banter with the man.

The two talked for quite a while, as he paled learning Japan lost WW2. But he later also learnt that the people with crosses like them emblazoned on their clothing were Templars, and served the cause of God. Surprised, and repentant of his transgression against those that were like him, a Christian, Tanaka Jin decided to go along with the Templars to the hideout. He had reasoned he had much to atone for still, despite consolation that he has done more than atone by staying in Inferis to kill the demons, and was extended a role to join the Templar Order. He accepted naturally, and further as a manner to atone. He continued his line of duty fighting the demons, and later to return to the human realm, and found his intelligence skills that were long neglected as he never found a reason to use dialogue in Inferis, coming back into use. Thought long dead by Japan, he was incognito as a man unknown but to those that looked through historical records to know him as a skilled soldier. His qualification was seen through by the Templar order, and in a short amount as of a few years, he became a Paladin. One of the highest men in powers in the Templar Order, and perhaps the oldest Templar alive, overlooking the quirks of his age having been slowed by the esoteric and mystical effects of Inferis.


SKILLS:
- As a veteran soldier, Tanaka has proficient expertise with firearms, and knows how to use them quite well, accuracy befitting a marksman.
- Tanaka is a tenth dan in Judo, one of the few individuals to achieve such a height of mastery.
- Tanaka's skills with Kenjutsu are quite proficient, for decades having mastered it as to know EXACTLY what to do in a battle in any circumstance with it, considering his experience using it practically in battle with his Shin Gunto.
- Tanaka has disciplined his body VERY WELL, capable of outrunning an Olympic Marathoner.
- Tanaka is strong enough with his fist to break bones, contrary to the idea of Judo being primarily grappling, when in fact there are striking motions, having managed to use karate discipline to help strengthen his fists.
- As an intelligence agent, he is quite adept at cold reading people, as he has participated in a few interrogations to be able to divine motivation close to the spot, but it is not perfect.
- His determination and stamina makes it unlikely he'd ever find himself falling victim to fatigue, and has found himself embarking on forced marches even as his muscles lament in protest.
- Has extensive experience battling against demons.

WEAKNESSES:
- Has bigoted tendencies towards undesirable people.
- Due to huge technological gap in the times he were in Earth, he doesn't really have proficiency using modern equipment without actual training. Unless its guns, guns are universal, and thus can shoot people in the face.
- Still holds 1940's mentality.
- Honor bound attitude, with Imperial Japanese doctrine drilled in him makes him unlikely to actually retreat.
- Horrible at keeping a low profile, doesn't help he wears a very hated uniform by those that lived in WWII, and reviled for it in countries most afflicted by the IJA.
- Very VERY bigoted.
- Only two languages, both of which aren't commonly spoken, make communicating among his peers hard.
- Not willing to use Templar weapons out of pride, preferring to use traditional IJA weaponry instead, despite how outdated it is and obsolete.
- Very Puritan in regards to religious thoughts, and not willing to exactly compromise even NAYUTA chances with those that are demonic or even interested in brokering deals with those that are of such persuasion. Not that the Templars do that anyways to begin with. But makes for bad socialization.
- Rigid attitude makes it so it is not likely he has a lot of people willing to stick out their necks to save him, he is in a way limited in those that actually find themselves in league with his sentiments.
- Is in fact color blind, he cannot see any other colors but red.
