[SPEECH/LANGUAGE INFORMATION]

Characters in the world of Deus Mortuus, as is to be expected, speak to communicate beyond all else. In most typical circumstances, this rings true for Demons, too. However, when roleplaying here, we ask that you colour your character's speech to help it stand out more and make it easier to locate. That's one of the reasons, anyway.

Whilst most characters here - human, that is - will converse in English, as is to be expected with a primarily English-speaking fanbase, it's no surprise that some characters will be multi-lingual, and for contextual and flavour purposes, numerous characters will also speak Latin. Aside from this, Demons themselves also have their own language - originally just named "Demon" or "Demonic" - which comes from the ability to supposedly "speak in tongues" passed down from a demonic possession in Biblical history.

Your character will most likely at the very minimum speak English, or English and Demon, so we ask that you - in your app, underneath the "Colours" section, colour your languages like so, for instance:

Lazarus speaks English (yellowgreen) and Demon (dodgerblue).

Different languages must be represented with different colours - though these are of your choosing. As a sign of cooperation and good faith, it's recommended you include the colour code in brackets or nearby for when other users are quoting your posts, because a lot of us do in order to give our characters' writings a more streamlined and appropriate feel.
