February 2nd
13:45

It hadn't taken long to get all of his stuff together, it had fit into a single backpack in the end. Laden down with T-shirts, spare jeans and a few spare comic books. He was moving into Uncle's old flat, his extra cash was being used to feed himself. He'd told his grandma that he'd found a job and like the sweet loving fool she was she'd insisted on giving him money. 50 whole pounds, burning a stomach shaped hole in his pocket. Still, it meant a little less time spent on the cheapest instant noodles. As he'd gotten onto the train, Blank found himself feeling a surge of trepidation, was this the right thing to do? He frowned to himself, sitting somewhat uncomfortably on the train. He was running away from the safety of sleepy Bristol to live pretty much on top of the tear. He knew where it was, obviously, but what was he going to do? He wasn't a crack shot like his father, he wasn't going to be able to camp out and snipe people as they approach. He was only effective inside Inferis...

The train began to pull away, it looked like it was too late. Blank reached into his bag and pulled out a battered old DS before he began absent-mindedly plugging away at a Mario game.

---

The flat was still fairly well furnished, at least as far as Blank could see. It had a small kitchen/living room unit, seperate bathroom and a surprisingly big bedroom. Perhaps it was his lack of knowledge about Uncle's life but the first thing he did was change the sheets. He was about to unpack his clothes and comics when he heard a knock on the door. Shrugging, he strolled to the door and pulled it open, looking out at the young woman in the hallway
"A-ah! Hello? Are you the new tenant?" the young woman wore a loose cardigan and a trendy pair of glasses, Blank had no idea what to make of her
"... who are you?" Blank asked, reasonably as far as he could see
"Uhh, I'm Kate, your neighbour? What's your name?"
"It's Blank"
"Oh... is that a nickname? Like, your last name is Blankowski or something?"
"No. It's just my name" Blank said, somewhat confused. Kate seemed to take this in stride while making a note he was a weirdo. She debated asking about the eye but opted against it
"Well... it was a pleasure talking to you"
"Thanks? Nice talking to you too, Kate" Blank replied, more confused than ever now. He slowly shut the door and took a moment to be purely baffled. He wanted to stay in today, it didn't feel like a day to be active but he needed to get some food, the fridge was pretty empty. He didn't really feel like cooking either, all he'd brought was an emergency ration pack.

His grandmother's money buried in his pocket, Blank slipped on a jacket for the windchill and slipped out into the London streets. He was living in Tottenham Hale, a pretty downtrodden area but it was inconspicuous. It took him about 20 minutes to walk to the underground stop and from there he managed to get a few connecting lines until he ended up in a huge shopping centre. He kept an unresponsive face but inside he was smiling. With a fistful of dollar, the world was his oyster. Now, where was he going to eat..

"You should have taken her, my dear child..."

Words, coming suddenly to his head with a sensual and feminine voice that Wyl knew all too very well. As surreal as it could be, such voice was his mother's one the two being bound by a dark pact forged the very day he was given birth during an unholy and cursed ritual. He sighed as all of the aforementioned things mattered really little to him, the true issue was that he believed his mother had finally managed to give up on her morning suggestions.

"I thought we were done with that, mother..."

His reply was polite and respectful as the succubus named Ahuva teached him to behave and yet there was no way to unnotice his annoyed tune. It was all about him seducing a classmate of his which he was flirting since the last two weeks. Despite she having a boyfriend, but honestly that was the last of Wyl's issues.

"Think about it, shattering her commitment, don't you find it exciting?" Ahuva, that was the name of the succubi, pressed on.

"Commitment?" Since these mental convo happened since him being little more than an infant, Wylfred had learned to convey expressions as well and this time there was a large amount of spite toward the girl in his voice. "She slept with half of the males in the class in the last two months, stealings sweets from a kid would be a more challenging task."

Ahuva had nothing to add, indeed she was aware of the girl's commitment issues but to be fair a whole week had passed since her son had last slept with a woman. Well, slept wasn't even the right words giving her nature. Wherever she was in Inferis, Wyl could hear her sigh deeply despite remaining silent.

It didn't really mattered, he knew her all too well and knew she would come charging again pretty soon. He shrugged and looked around searching for a newly opened store, to be more precise his favourite goth shop that had moved there from the back allye where it was previously situated in a sort of silly attempt to promote the culture.

His lips arched in a predatory smile as he remembered the owner's daughter and her evident displays of interest toward him despite the girl addressing herself more as a follower of the "Emo" culture, something her mother openly mourned over.

"The girl likes to cut herself..." Ahuva suddenly kicked in. "...you should take her body for our pleasure and offer her blood as a sacrifice..."

Wylfred replied with a mental sigh...

...his mother liked extremes a little too much...

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Blank Edwards Mon Jul 01, 2013 12:05 pm

Blank's progress so far had been less than fruitful. Everywhere he'd gone seemed too expensive, in the end he'd opted only for a takeaway meal from McDonalds and was sat on a chrome coloured bench to enjoy the meal. The shopping centre itself seemed pretty clean and open, he noted, the usual colours of marble white and clean floors that almost cast a reflection when you looked into it. He was looking at his battered old trainers, the crumpled brown paper bag held loosely in one hand, the only remnants of his now complete meal. He wasn't sure what to do next, should he head home? Maybe, but he had a feeling that Kate would be a bother somehow, though he had little to no idea why she would be. It was probably the eyepatch, she probably thought he was a complete weirdo.

Resting his head on the back of the bench, Blank felt a vague sense of concern tickling the back of his mind. It could be nothing, maybe it was the big city or something, but it felt like there was danger nearby. It was hard to explain these instincts, his father had practically beat them into him, that he had to be aware of the dangers around him and not just dangers to HIM but to everyone in the area. Sitting upright Blank glanced around as he tried to pin what was making him feel uncomfortable. He actually missed Wyl a few times simply because he was on the right hand side of Blank's face. He moved a little further on, still trying to spot the person making him feel worried. The shops Blank could see were a shoe shop (mostly women's, he noted), a pharmacist (Boots did get around) and an alternative fashion store. Blank didn't really like those shops but they were convenient for selling eyepatches that weren't medical gauze.

He couldn't see the person making him feel uncomfortable and allowed a very, very faint twitch of irritation cross his face. If this was Inferis he'd have a far easier time seeing them with BOTH eyes. Safety in crowds, he'd take cover somewhere and watch the crowd for the usual signs, slipping into the clothing store he gave a cursory glance to the girl at the counter. For a second he did a double take before remembering he wasn't in Inferis. He never understood extravagant clothing styles, but the dyed fringe and long sleeves not attached to the vest on the top seemed incredibly impractical
"Hii <3, can I help you?"
"No" Blank replied honestly as he busied himself pretending to look at wristbands (simultaneously wondering how they were able to sell weapons in broad daylight). With his left eye he kept a check on the crowd outside. The illusion would work better if he had the other eye to look with but the girl at the counter hadn't seemed to have noticed as she tried (and failed) to get his attention.

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Yuuko Koizumi Tue Jul 02, 2013 4:46 am

((I'll be joining this so Blank and Wyl can learn of Nephilim, if that's alright.))

A taxi pulled over by the side of the road rather abruptly. The passenger side opened, and a flustered Yuuko stepped out. "Your rates are ridiculous, and I won't be using this taxi service again," She muttered and pulled out some money that Laz had given her to pay for a taxi. She handed it to him in a rather rude manner before stepping onto the sidewalk completely. Whatever, she preferred walking anyways. Even if she was pretty jet lagged, she'd push through it. The young demon hunter began to make her way down the sidewalk, in search of the hotel. If she ended up getting lost, she'd just text Lazarus. Not like she needed to depend on him anyways though. Even if she was only seventeen, Yuuko had always been a rather independent girl and liked to do things her own way. When people butted in, it just got annoying.

Yuuko sighed heavily and rubbed the back of her soft and creamy white neck, peering around a bit. She knew what street the hotel was on, she just couldn't find that street in this big maze of a city. The yank was a bit hopeless without a map here, that was the only thing she would admit. Her phone wasn't that great either, it was old and she couldn't pull up a map on it. The only thing she used it for was texting and calls, since that was all it really could do anyways.

As the beautiful young woman wandered, she happened upon a large mall. Feeling a bit curious, she entered the building and glanced about. The air conditioning was nice at least, and the cold air woke her up a bit. She needed that. Her surrondings weren't that different looking from stores in America, but had their own twist to them. Her grey eyes landed on a certain store that made her nose scrunch up a bit. It was like a British hot topic.. to confirm her assumptions, the teen poked her head inside. Hopefully they at least had something decent. Yuuko didn't follow "emo" fashion, but sometimes stores like this had at least one or two decent products. She needed some new shoes and tank top anyways.

The store was pretty dead inside, save for two young men who were looking around and the cashier standing at her post. Laz would probably give her crap for coming into a store like this, but he didn't need to know about her little trip. Clutching the strap of her sword's case, she quietly slipped all the way inside and began to browse. A few minutes wouldn't hurt.

"Hey Wyl, long time since you last came."

The young cashier welcomed the familiar face with a smile worth a thousands words. Wylfred was pretty popular, both through gifts and help given him by his demonic mother. Whom caught the chance on the fly for one of her remarks.

"I'd ask her where she wished you to..."

The young Lanthier simply decided to give up on the innunedos from the voices in his head and focused his attentions over the girl behind the counter.

"And for that my heart suffers, my sweet porcelain doll..." He said leaning close, looking into her eyes and stealing a swift kiss. "How are things going here in the big mall by the way? Kinda miss when the shop was in that small alley..." He leaned toward her, whispering something that made her blush.

The young ritualist didn't failed to notice two more customers around, but one basically shunned the cashier girl and the other, well, had just entered the place. Wyl was tempted, something supported by his mother, to move behind the counter and tease the girl like he used to do before the shop moved, but eh this was the mall.

"So, would my beautiful porcelain doll help me into picking some new amethyst earrings?" He questioned, the girl being eager to do so and pulling out a little case with the aforementioned items.

"I'm pleased to learn you are not turning to the temptations of Sodom and Gomorrah." Ahuva spoke so suddenly that it came completely unexpected and made Wyl lose his composture for a split second. One of the problems when dealing with succubis was that they'll expect you to fornicate on a daily basis or start question your sexual orientations. Well, maybe not ALL succubis, but Ahuva for sure.

"Is everything alright Wyl?" Having eyes mostly for him, the girl didn't failed to notice what happened. She was kinda silly, cheesy and naive, but not blatantly stupid.

"Nothing, really..." He just came with a quick excuse. "...I just realized I forgot to turn in a certain paper, that's all. Nothing we should worry about..."

He gave a second glance to the two newcomers, both of them didn't looked the part of people interested in such a fashion. True the shop being inside a Mall was expected to attract any kind of curious, but at the same time it could attract people with little tolerance and great desires to pick up fights.

Usually females weren't that kind of people and hopefully the male wasn't even. Nonetheless Wyl felt uneasy, kinda disappointed at seeing strangers inside what once was one of his personal hideouts.[/color]

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Blank Edwards Fri Jul 05, 2013 12:23 pm

Noticing the girl as she entered and the guy shortly after, Blank made a very quick assessment before they passed him and were rendered basically invisible. The girl looked young, she was quite clearly some part Japanese and she was carrying something that looked like a weapon in a case. He was curious about THAT, if the police stopped her she might be in some trouble but it could easily be pool cues or a golf club or something. He got a vague feeling about her but she didn't seem the type to be demonically posessed. Usually they were raving lunatics or had an air of unnatural something when Blank looked at them. Unnatural beauty, unnatural charm, unnatural intimidation. She was pretty alright but not beyond nature, so he let her slip from his mind as she did his field of vision and focused on the guy.

Long, straight black hair, well dressed, in all honesty he looked like he should be in here picking up clothes and supplies for his band, Blank kept his eye on him as he entered turning his head and keeping him in the single frame of vision. The cashier seemed to know him too, which made him entering the shop seem pretty normal but there was something about him that set Blank on edge. It's hard to explain, Ritualists are all different and there are no real overlapping signs but Blank was getting the feeling there was something with that guy. He glanced again to the girl with the case, splitting his focus for a second. He wondered how to broach this, he'd rather it end non-violently but if there was a ritualist in here (he'd excluded the cashier girl, sloppy, George always said to include everyone as a potential) then he needed to say something.

Blank's split focus unfortunately made him almost miss Wyl's slip from Ahuva's influence, at the cashier's remark Blank's eye snapped back to Wyl and focused, looking for a sign of discomfort, his excuse wasn't the strongest but Blank couldn't see what would be causing it... his face remained impassive but as an idea creeped up on him he felt sure he had a method to check who here was posessed. He started singing to himself, a disjointed heavy metallish tune as he walked towards the counter, in earshot of all three in the store
"Whaaat, are you doing here, DE-mooon" he sang, expecting the cashier to be bewildered by his song as he rested an elbow on the counter, looking to the two lovebirds as he added
"Are you not a fan of them? Inferis are quite big in Europe. They have other songs like Talk outside? No? Sorry to bother you. Nice ear-rings" Blank nodded his head to them and cast a brief glance to Yuuko. It was his way of checking as he left, he'd ruled Yuuko out but if she reacted maybe there was something going on there.

As he walked outside the store he kept his alertness high, last thing he wanted was to get jumped after exposing himself. Of course, they could always just ignore him but he had all day. He wasn't all that keen to get back to his apartment.

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Yuuko Koizumi Sun Jul 07, 2013 3:33 am

Yuuko's eyes had been roaming around the store's selection of shirts, when the sound of a young couple pointedly flirting reached her ears. She wanted to gag. Couldn't they take that somewhere a little less public? You know, in a place where people didn't have to hear it?! Despite her dislike of the public displays of affection, Yuuko only groaned softly and tried to focus on finding some shoes. She was far too jet-lagged to even want to start an argument about it.

As her long and slender fingers brushed over the soft material of a thin white tank-top, she heard some idiot beginning to... was he singing? Yuuko couldn't tell, because the grating sound it was making against her ears was far too painful. She shot a bone chilling glare in the direction of the obnoxious singer, wanting them to stop right then and there.

A blonde young man with a big black eye-patch on. Was the patch for medicinal use, or style? Yuuko could never tell these days. People did a lot of dumb things for the sake of fashion. While she was glowering at the singing boy, she heard it. The infernal language, the tongue of demons. Yuuko couldn't speak it herself, but she could recognize it upon hearing bits of language spoken.

It was the boy whom was speaking it. Her glare was set on him and only him now. Everybody else in the room had disappeared. Was he a hunter? A Templar? Or perhaps he was possessed. She didn't know the actual answer, but she planned on finding it.

Once the boy was out of the store, Yuuko walked out a few seconds later. She could feel the annoyed glares that the employees gave her for coming in and not buying anything, but she didn't really give a flipping fuck. The store wasn't that great anyways, and a lot of the merchandise was cheaply made. Thank god she didn't buy anything upon a whim.

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Wylfred Lanthier Sun Jul 07, 2013 10:13 pm

"Holy hell..."

Wyl said right as the other guy started doing one of the most painful things hears could bear as singing in the demon tongue and with horrible accent and grammar.

"Hell's all but holy and you should refer to it as Inferis anyway..." Ahuva pointed out, it was a sort of game between the two of them that started when Wylfred first heard the expression holy hell and noticed how it weirded out his succubi mother. "Whoever taught him, it was a demon of pain and torture, I'm sure of it..."

Demonic could be really different based on the demon who spoke it. If spoken by succubi for example it was soft as silk, as expected from the temptress demons. If spoken from any other it could range by something formal and polite to an horrible cacophony of madness.

"I'd say he's from the US."

"And the girl seems to be at least partially asian, you could try hitting on her, accordly to these Anime things we saw, these are kinda attracted by demons and tentacles...

Wyl sighed as he gave a smile to the cashier girl, that with good chances as every Emo wasn't really fond of what could be associated with a Metal song growling. The sigh had the double purpose of reacting to both the stranger and his mother's words. The latter having turned to her tease and innuendo mood.

"You know I'm not fond of asian girls  from start and this one isn't even really that beauty, all school and chores one I'd say..."

"The best ones to defile and deflore..." Ahuva replied with the equivalent of a mental grin.

Anyway it was time for him to reply to the mad growler, so he simply waited for him to finish the performance and sighed a second time.

"First time I hear from them and going from what I heard, not really going to become a fan..."

He had indeed recognized the Demonic tongue but his mother had taught him something called common sense. World was comparatively full of people that spoke the Demonic, mny of them not being exactly the most friendly beings toward other sharing common interests. Ahuva taught him that many, many, people would like to see his head impaled on a pike just out of a whim, so why to risk.

"Bleeding Lovers are better..." Emo-cashier noted as well forcing Wyl to raise an eyebrow first as she continued on. "Cut me pregnant is a beautiful and romantic piece..." She whispered to Wyl.

"Cut..."

Wyl started in disbelievment.

"...me..."

Ahuva followed surprised.

"...pregnant?"

They thought the same word at the same time, a mixture of amazement and surprise at the whole title of the song, Anyway the boy had left and the girl had soon followed. He boldly moved behind the counter to give emo girl a more passionated kiss, mostly to prevent her speking and inform him about more songs from that band, and whispering her something about a date and something else that made her blush more. He spent another few minutes with her, paid for the earring he was looking at and finally managed to leave the shop.

"You noticed the girl's measurments?" Ahuva said mentally. "I mean that she was holding something in a case?"

"Noticed both and not impressed by the former..." Wylfred replied with the deadpan face.

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Blank Edwards Sun Jul 07, 2013 11:22 pm

It's a testament to Blank's ability to hide emotion by his lack of reaction to Wyl's comment about the song. Had he really not understood? He wasn't sure... there was a brief flicker in his face, not one of confusion so much as shock at hearing something bad. Could he speak demonic but maybe wasn't a fan of demons? He hadn't considered that, all he was thinking was that the surprise would cause them to let something slip. The girl's offer of alternative music was a fitting sign for Blank to leave as he looked for a split second to make sure she was being serious before leaving, silently musing on who in their right mind thought that was a GOOD idea for a song?

He'd successfully emerged outside before he noticed the young man was still more interested in the girl he was talking to. He frowned, had he guessed wrong? That was... odd. The girl did seem to be following him though, which was even stranger since he hadn't thought she was the demonic thing making him feel awkward. He waited for her approach while he thought about what to do. He was trying to gauge her facial expression, which was easier said than done. He was getting the impression that she may have understood it was demonic but not the words he'd said, since she wasn't trying to pay attention to the kid. Maybe she'd gotten the wrong impression... but what was he going to say? "I think that guy might have some demonic thing possessing him?", yeah, that'd go down well if she wasn't a Demon or Demon Hunter. He leant against a railing running along an open drop to the escalators strolling lazily by behind him.

As she got closer, he wound up opting for not saying anything. The glare let him know she wasn't demonic. Maybe a Hunter? Hopefully not a Templar, they tended to be about his level in a fight and that would be... problematic to say the least. Not to mention they usually carried firearm which he was distinctly unskilled with. In all honesty, he wasn't sure what to make of the girl who seemed to be intent on confronting him. Potential ally? (assuming she didn't try and cut off his head or shoot him with whatever weapon was in that case) Templar out to catch him? Nor was he for that matter the kid inside. He'd played it off well but instantly going for the make-out with the cashier? It was almost too perfect.

He did make eye-contact with the girl though, not wishing to watch the tongue wrestling, but staying alert enough and waiting for the potential demon/ritualist to emerge. It'd be easier in Inferis, he mused, he could use his Devil Eye to check. Not to mention the potential for police interference here...

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Yuuko Koizumi Fri Jul 12, 2013 5:16 am

Yuuko was getting close now, and she could tell that the young man knew. Since he was kind of staring right at her. Bold move, but better than looking into the store and seeing the disgusting display. Why would people even want to do THAT in public? Just to get a kick out of grossing everyone around them out? Yuuko hoped the cashier got fired.

Yuuko stopped only inches away from the young man. From the corners of her eyes, she checked to see if there was anyone near or anyone coming. No? Good. Grabbing a fistful of his shirt, Yuuko pinned him against the wall in a rough manner. She kept her arm up against his neck to hold him in place, and her knee was dangerously close to his groin. "Are you some kind of fucking moron?" She hissed, but kept it quiet. "You don't just walk around and fucking talk to someone in demonic, do you have ANY fucking idea how dangerous that is?!" Yuuko could guess that he was some kind of Demon Hunter. No Templar, no matter how fucking insane they were, would be stupid enough to do something like this. Still, couldn't hurt to ask. If he was a Templar, she'd beat him up and run away.

"Are you a Templar, or a Demon Hunter?" So far there had been no signs of other people coming over to this area of the mall. Well, the stores over here were shitty anyways. That meant Yuuko had all the time she needed for some rough interrogation. She glowered at the boy, her grey eyes glaring into his one visible eye. Yuuko wasn't going to kill him if he was a Templar, that went against her principles. But she had to make it seem like she would, she had to keep up that intimidation factor. It was hard to seem scary when you were a big-breasted teenaged girl walking around in a short skirt. But after years of experience, Yuuko had learned that as long as you kept eye contact, kept on a scary face, and kept them dangerously close that you could be as intimidating as you wanted to be.

Wyl spent a little taking care of his aquaintance and a little more to purchase the earring with a fairly nice discount. The cashier being the owner's daughter was one of the reasons for him to cultivate the relationship despite the incompatible musical tastes. The other one was about him being on that kind of girls.

"The eypatched emo spoke demonic..." Ahuva noted with some amused voice. To be fair the shop was sort of an Emo one and well, the eyepatch just screamed for it. "...I was wondering if you were going to investigate or not..."

"Not really interested, more curious about how he had been able to guess I was demon-blood." Wyl replied with a mental sigh of frustration. "Do you think I have some kind of aura about it?"

"Doubt so..." Ahuva replied right as they were on the doors of the shop. "...oh, look!"

Wyl suddenly stopped right as he left the shop as on the corner of his vision field appeared the figures of the boy and the girl apparently involved into something that wasn't for sure a mating ritual. The display was worth more than thousands of words, if the girl reacted like that it could have meant only two things.

Either the Emo boy had done a move at her and she didn't appreciated or she understood demonic and wasn't friendly to the ones who spoke it. And deep inside his heart, Wyl felt that the guy hadn't tried to hit on her.

"And this puts a stone about me hitting on that thing..." The ritualist mentally said to his mother as he stepped back hiding near the shop entrance to get a look at how the situation unfolded. "Too many muscles, not enough girl to have fun with..."

Ahuva said nothing, kinda trying to force him to look back at emo-cashier then, something that Wyl managed to resist easily enough. He wondered if he was going to fight them, two against one was going to be pretty at disadvantage for him, but if worse came worst he could've simply switched to Inferis and use his morphed form to fly away.

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Blank Edwards Fri Jul 12, 2013 1:41 pm

It was only for a second that he turned his attention back to the target but it was enough to get grabbed by the shirt and hauled towards a wall. He had counters for it but the end result would be a great deal more attention. It was quiet enough but it'd be better if it looked like an inappropriate embrace rather than an interrogation so Blank went with the movement even though it cut off his already limited line of sight. For someone who was being interogated, he gave away very little to show if he was being intimidated or not as the young girl tried to do her best to play bad cop. He seemed more curious than anything that someone would be so... well, not naive, he could see the logic in her actions but it wasn't the kind that held up under sustained examination. Still, he saw no reason to panic. With one arm against his neck and her already lessened body-weight he wasn't in much danger, the knee would hurt but given her other hand held an unwieldy case and his hands were free he could definitely wind her before she did any actual damage. Keeping his cool, he addressed her questions in a calm almost laconic manner

"It's not dangerous at all when it's intentional. It's the Murray Gambit. Created by Patrick Murray 30 years ago, if someone responds to hearing demonic in certain ways like a twitch of their ears or a sudden paying of attention then it means one of 4 things, not the two you're assuming. You ask if I'm a Demon Hunter or Templar, but I could be a Ritualist or worse a demon. If that were the case you'd already be dead since you're masking your body from view and anything from Inferis would exploit your open center and probably make it somehow more painful than normal. The Murray gambit is designed to test if someone is linked to Inferis, like I was doing in the shop, normal people won't recognise it for what it is so it also allows you to keep a civilian cover since the bulk of demons won't start a fight with witnesses solely because it raises the odds of Templar involvement and if you're aware they reacted it becomes very hard for them to jump you. The odds of the one in the shop being a Templar are slim as Templar's have a very specific body type which the boy in the shop, who I'm now 80% certain is demonic in some manner, doesn't have. Though I can't see what he's doing to that girl now since you've moved me, I'd hazard a guess he's vampiric in some manner so I'd rather get back to it if you don't mind. Also? Hunter."

He couldn't fault her choice of actions though, she was younger than him and probably only started a few years ago so she likely hadn't heard the various methods of testing for demonic possession. Assuming he was a fellow hunter (which was correct, he did give her credit for the observation AND covering her bases with the Templar option) was a good response, but since the Murray Gambit had been around a while, a few demons used it as bait to catch Hunters in the Real World. There were other flaws to the Murray Gambit, not least that you're supposed to have back-up, but he wasn't about to ask the young Demon Hunter to help him until she at least eased off on the interrogation. He wasn't going to mention that the guy was loitering in the entrance to the goth shop since his one good eye could still see the very edge of it, and he wasn't about to explain how his instincts made him think he was demonic solely because of body language. He didn't really like talking anyway and was feeling worn out just from his explanation. Of course, the next stage would be to ask the clearly demonic fellow if he was going to be a problem. Ritualist living in a rift city was not usually a sign of good things but Blank was refusing to follow his father's way of shoot first ask questions later, he was going to at least ASK if he was going to make trouble. He was assuming vampiric but he could easily just be empathic or an incubus (the latter sounded likely in this scenario). But that was all academic unless she let him go since this little encounter gave the young man a perfect opening to escape.

This was starting to get messy...

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Yuuko Koizumi Wed Jul 17, 2013 3:41 am

Yuuko only got the gist of the boy's lecture before she got bored, fast. As long as he wasn't a Templar, she didn't really give a fuck. Yuuko didn't need them finding her again. Especially not after what happened with their leader. "If you're a hunter then I don't give a fuck anymore. So please, shut up," Yuuko stated rather bluntly. With a heavy sigh, Yuuko released the blonde man and shoved him away from herself.

Why did she have to find all the idiots? Ugh, perhaps she should have just stayed in the taxi and gone straight to Lazarus' place. Maybe things wouldn't have gained all this unnecessary drama. Then again, this guy was kind of an idiot so it would have turned out badly anyways. Why the hell would you go around hollering demonic? In front of civilians no less! And if there had been Templars around, they would have detained him for threatening exposure of the demon world to civilians.

"He's probably just some punk who likes to mess around a little. And even if he had been a Ritualist, smoking him out after exposing yourself here would do you no good. He'd probably run away from you. And if you tried to attack him here and now, someone would call the cops. By exposing yourself, you've also destroyed your chances of catching him," Yuuko muttered before turning on her heel. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have better things to worry about besides a failed plan."
Yuuko knew she'd need to inform Lazarus of this encounter. Only an hour in this city, and she had already run into a demon hunter. Perhaps starting a successful foundation for Nephilim wouldn't be as difficult as she thought. They weren't recruiting patchy here though, that was for sure.

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Wylfred Lanthier Wed Jul 17, 2013 7:09 am

Wyl didn't even bothered to look at the more, preferring to show a total disinterest in the other couple so to keep up his facade of normality. The demonic speaker didn't seemed as dangerous as the girl that brought a weapon case in a mall, but at least the latter showed some common sense by getting pissed at him for such a stunt.

After all had Wyl been a demon, or someone with a more violent behaviour, the poor dude would have met at least a couple of ambushes on his way home. The young ritualist, anyway, didn't really cared so he just turned inside and resumed his flirtling with the cashier. No more kisses tho, mostly jokes, innuendos and a sort of invitation for a date in the days to come.

"You should totally bring her home..." Ahuva said with a giggling voice inside Wyl's mind.

"Yeah, to introduce her to my mother that had never saw her before..." Wyl replied mentally with his deadpan tune.

Yet the idea wasn't half bad, there were a lot of things that he could've done to her inside the privacy of the domestic walls. Things that the girl would probably enjoy and yet something that regular humans wouldn't even dare to speak about. He looked at her while she was distracted and for a split second a grin appeared on his face, malicious, pervy maybe, surely inhuman but seducing rather than scary.

Yet it was a clear reminder to him about how he had crossed the border of mankind's expected behaviour. A reminder of his origins and legacies. Nothing he felt shame about, he was kinda proud of being his mother's son actually, but somewhat, leading a fake life made him wonder which one his reality was.

And Ahuva from her lair in Inferis, beamed with joy as she savored the feelings she shared through the link with her son. In all these times she had wondered about maternal pride, maybe it was feeling like this, maybe it wasn't. Succubi weren't really expected to care for their offspiring if they even had one and yet strange things happened.

Anyway, she tried to bring herself to remember about warning her son about being careful on his way back home. No use in telling him right now as the girl allowed him behind the counter and she could easily guess and enjoy what was going to happen right now, but maybe later...

...maybe...

Moving day (open) Empty Re: Moving day (open)

Post by Blank Edwards Wed Jul 17, 2013 11:30 am

Blank vaguely wanted to sigh as the young girl blindly ignored everything he'd said, but at least she'd backed off so he could resume his plan. It had been disrupted by the interruption but thankfully his target hadn't taken the opportunity to escape. Which meant he ALSO didn't know how this tactic usually went down which meant he was also presumably new on the scene (or at least new to the London scene). Most people would probably be angry at a self-righteous explanation of how they didn't like his tactics while failing to listen to the reasonings or even accepting that MAYBE distracting a Hunter while on the hunt was incredibly dangerous but Blank, being Blank, took it all in stride and assumed it was somehow his fault before attempting to resume his tracking by walking over to his previous post and leaning there again. He'd pretty much covered why saying things in Demonic in a shop with three other people was perfectly safe for all involved (though he made a note to check for cameras, recordings could be more problematic but he hadn't seen any after a quick sweep and even if they were, they'd have no sound being security in a shopping centre) and he wasn't about to repeat himself.

He listened vaguely to the Japanese girl explaining how his plan had been poorly thought out (not true, but lacking in personnel, there needed to be a second and third player, second to follow the demon after their conversation and a third on overwatch to watch the entire thing, reminded Blank why he needed to find a group again) and how it had failed, which raised an eyebrow. He waited until the boy lead the girl into the back of the shop and the Japanese girl was turning to leave before he added
"It hasn't failed, though I am short on manpower to make it work better. Ritualists are always evil, same as Demons, but they can be reasonable. I'm getting the impression this one isn't an immediate threat to anything other than girl's hearts, so the end goal was to talk and assess what type of person they are. We're not Templars, we don't need to exterminate everything we encounter. If he runs, I wouldn't sprint after him and tackle him to the ground, that'd be foolish, I'd shout that he stole something, like the ear-rings he was buying, and catch up while the cops detain him before 'apologising' and insisting on making it up to them." he wasn't sure why he was bothering, from his brief impression he knew she wouldn't listen, maybe he didn't want to see her end up getting killed and from his brief look at her attitude she seemed all to interested in the violent side of things without even considering the other options. He briefly thought about mentioning how the police would definitely want to look in her case, security in London being far too tight to carry a weapon around, and how she'd be better off with a guitar case and fake guitar body on top of it, but she'd almost certainly take offense.

She seemed intent on going, but Blank felt almost compelled to give it another shot. If she wouldn't listen to his words, maybe she'd listen to those of the ritualist.
"Would you stay? I apologise for the inconvenience but maybe you should see for yourself. There's only one exit so he's going to come through this way and I doubt he's going to run since he didn't take the big opening you gave him" that was intended to be a statement of fact, though it came out somewhat passive aggressive unintentionally. Of course, ideally, if they were going to play to their strengths they'd have her talk to him since that seemed to be the best way to draw him out, play off the threat as him being told not to say weird things to... no, that wouldn't work, swordcase gave it away, he'd never buy she was just a normal girl. Well, it was somewhat awkward but he'd need to just hold out he reckoned, hope he was vindicated by the conversation.
"So, when did you arrive? Are you one of Barlow's allies?" Barlow was a jackass, but he was surprisingly well respected in the London circles. Needless to say, Blank didn't like him, he never went to Inferis, only sending headstrong new people to fight his battles.

Yuuko barely listened to Blank's continued rambling, but sighed and stopped since he seemed pretty desperate. It seemed that there was no getting out of this, was there? Glancing at him from the corner of her eye, Yuuko decided to take a bit of pity. Writing down Laz's address on a receipt from the starbucks coffee she had gotten at the airport, she walked right back over to Blank and tossed the paper at him. "Go to this place. A demon hunter lives there. He's new, but not bad. We're making a group. Keep it to yourself though, or I'll make sure that you'll never walk again," She uttered with a warning gaze.

"And I don't know who the hell Barlow is, but I don't care. I'm part of Nephilim. We're young, but our numbers are growing fast. The guy's address I just gave you, he made Nephilim. Seriously though, he's only been in the game for about a month so don't judge him harshly if he gets something wrong. Make sure you aren't followed. I'm leaving now, so goodbye. Don't do anything fucking stupid, and just leave the emo kid alone. He's not worth it." And with that being said, Yuuko turned on her heel and began to take her leave.

Perhaps this hadn't been a wasted trip. Sure, the possible new addition to the trip was an idiot, but it was still a new member. They needed more people if they didn't want to be squashed out of existence by the damned templars. No, Yuuko wouldn't let them win this time. Never again. "Templars, your winning streak is over.."

Post by Wylfred Lanthier Mon Jul 29, 2013 11:33 am

Wyl waited for a little, until the cashier's mother came to relieve the daughter and take upon the business, loitering around the counter area with the cashier chick and being royally close into being busted doing something that while the older woman already had some suspecious about would have done no good to confirm like that.

Nonetheless it gave him the opening he needed to invite the girl out, whispering something about stopping to his place after a little walk for a movie and some dinner. Something that the emo-chick was more than glad to agree upon.

Arms locked the two left the shop, Wyl just keeping an eye out for any possible interference from the japanese bear-like girl or the eyepatched yankee. It could have been a fun night that was ahead of him if he hadn't been worried by the actions of the american guy. Had been it a lucky guess or he had chances to see things about his heritage, it was something Wyl needed to check upon.

But for now, as he walked out of the mall, other were the things he needed to check upon. Completely different other things.
