OVERVIEW
The government of the United States of America is widely considered to be one of the greatest examples of representative democracy in all of the world. Typically fair and with a set of wide constitutional rights established for its inhabitants, America is widely considered the staple and end-all be-all of most economically developed countries.

However, at the top there lies a conspiracy that only the President and three others are aware of: one that concerns Inferis and the Hell Princes. Since its conceptualisation and eventual creation, the U.S. government has been heavily aligned with the Templar Order, which predates it by centuries. President Thomas himself is actually a senior member - for the first time in decades since President Truman - of the Templars themselves, one of the seven Paladins that head off the Order.

Considering that the spearhead and his three greatest military lieutenants are all aligned with the Templar Order, it's safe to say that the USA often backs them in return for protection against assaults on the spiritual frontier. For the moment, President Thomas is simply concerned with keeping his country safe, and though a conspiracy underlines the U.S. government's head, he's not doing a bad job - people are ignorant, and ignorance, in this context, truly is bliss.

For the purpose of this RP, the U.S. government is divided into four separate overhead armed divisions which civilians can join: these are the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the army (a generalised term for an amalgamation of all the U.S.' official armed forces) and the police force (again, just an umbrella to cover all police in America, SWAT or regular).

EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING
- CIA MEMBERS typically have handguns, high levels of advanced martial training and good marksmanship skills, and access to further weaponry should they need it. Most CIA members are not aware of the existence of Inferis unless they have been cleared to have been informed otherwise, but the Director is. They have access to almost all Earthly resources one could think of.
- FBI MEMBERS typically have handguns, medium levels of advanced martial training, and excellent marksmanship skills, alongside specialised weaponry for certain situations such as shotguns, sub-machine guns, and assault rifle. Similarly to CIA members, most FBI members are not aware of the existence of Inferis and the Templar Order unless they have been cleared to have been informed otherwise. Similarly, the Director is aware of everything the CIA Director is.
- SOLDIERS have access, for one, to almost any weaponry that they could request, including assault weaponry such as shotguns, light machine guns, assault and sniper rifles and so on and so forth. Unless you've specified to have them in a special forces unit such as the Navy SEALs, they will not be able to have access to suppressed weaponry. Soldiers do not usually have access to the same level of resources FBI and CIA members do.
- POLICE are usually equipped with handguns, shotguns, and on occasion, automatic weaponry. Their marksman training ranks well below that of the army, FBI, and CIA, but is still formidable. The police, however, have far larger a member basis - but almost none of them are aware of the existence of Inferis OR able to get ahold of information remotely close to the sort that the FBI and CIA can get their hands on.

- When applying for your character, if they work in the army or police force, specify which department exactly they work under - for instance, is it the Navy SEALs? U.S.A.F.? Marines? Army Rangers? Are they SWAT or just regular beat cops?
